WORKSHOPS

The programme of workshops is designed for four levels from, total beginners through to advanced dancers.
The workshops focus on Salsa and are complemented by other dance forms and specialised workshops, to enrich your dancing. A fast-track introduction to Cuban Salsa is available for experienced Cross-Body Style dancers.
Improvements for 2008:
***More workshops:- a choice of 60+ hours of workshops
***Smaller group sizes - we will be running eight workshops in parallel in each hour (rather than 5) to reduce group size in each workshop.
***Greater choice of specialist workshops: in addition to a choice of Salsa and Rueda in each hour for each level, you will have a choice of: Afro-Cuban (Guaguanco, Yambu, Columbia, Orishas etc); traditional Cuban dances (Son, Cha Cha, Mambo etc); Body Movement & Styling; Musical appreciation and interpretation; and technique and attitude focused workshops. In addition, we will run a fun aqua rueda workshop in the heated in door pool.

PARTY NIGHTS

The weekend includes three party nights. Meet dancers from across the world and enjoy inspiring dance performances, animation, line-ups, ruedas, and fun competitions. During the day, enjoy exciting rueda, templeque and reggaeton parties and fun line-ups with the Cuba-UK All Starts.
New for 2008:
*Party nights will be held in Lowther Hall and the Gallery Bar
We will have a "Casa De La Musica" in Lowther Hall on the Saturday and Sunday afternoons.
*New international artists
*One hour show with world-class dance performances on the Saturday night.
