Salsa is an exciting partner dance with roots
in the Caribbean (especially Cuba and Puerto Rico) and Latin America.
It is one of the most exciting and most poplular partner dances in the
world. Salsa is danced to Salsa music.
I CAN'T DANCE WILL I MAKE A FOOL OF MYSELF?
Absolutely not. Everyone on you course will
be a new beginner, like yourself. It's no different to learning anything,
you will find that in your first free trial lesson that there was really
nothing to worry about as the beginners classes are really easy.
DO I NEED TO BOOK IN ADVANCE?
No. You just need to turn up to the start of
the next coures at whatever venue you like.
DO I NEED A PARTNER?
No. There is no need to take a partner with
you because Havana Night's teaching method means that everyone will
be moved around to change partners during the classes, therefore, it
does not make any difference whether you come on your own or with friends,
either way you get to meet and dance with everyone else at least once.
WHAT SHOULD I WEAR?
You do not need any particular clothing to attend
a Salsa evening. Anything goes, casual wear or smart dress, as long
as you feel comfortable. it is really up to you!! As for shoes, wear
something that will allow you to move freely on the dance floor, we
recommend leather sole shoes.
HOW MUCH DOES IT COST?
Your first lesson, at the start of the beginners
course, is a free trial lesson. You can then decide whether to join
the eight week course. See Havana
Nights Membership and Prices.

WHAT CAN I DO TO LEARN QUICKLY?
We host 4 hour intensive workshops at the end
of each course. These 'Salsa Express Days' as we call them are a great
way to learn moves and how to freestyle quickly. See Workshops.
HOW DO I GET STARTED?
Just turn up to the start of the next coures
at whatever venue you like. See Salsa
Nights.
