The ™Havana Nights Salsa Programme is for total beginners through to advanced dancers. The programme ensures that you learn the right content, at the right time, at the right pace, whilst having fun.

The right content…
All our courses are regularly updated with the latest moves from Havana, Cuba. You’ll learn new material in each course, at each level, to give you confidence with the fundamentals and to make your dancing more varied, prior to moving up levels.

At the right time…
Our Salsa Programme is for total beginners through to advanced dancers. We can teach you new material each week because after lesson three, we close the course off to new joiners. Be weary of dance schools that do not run courses and accept new joiners each week as you'll find that your learning regresses rather than progresses, every time you have a new joiner in the lessons.

At the right pace…
The programme is highly structured and designed to gradually stretch your dancing further at an enjoyable pace.

*The courses and modules are delivered in the same sequence, by all our teachers, at all our venues. This means you can make up for lessons missed (ask door staff for conditions) or repeat lessons at any of our venues (ask door staff for prices).

*We have a ‘taxi dancer’ scheme to improve the mix of male/females in our lessons. Men receive special discounts and other treats if they help out in lessons. Ask door staff for details.

HOW IT WORKS

The programme is designed for three levels:

Level 1

Join this eight week Salsa course for Total Beginners if you are new to Salsa. Don't worry about your first lesson, Salsa will be a new experience for everyone in your group. This course warms you up with Merengue and gives you confidence with the basic Salsa steps and dance technique. Each lesson gradually stretches your dancing further at an enjoyable pace. At the end of each lesson, practice your steps to music or simply enjoy a drink at the bar. After lesson three, we close the course off to new joiners, so that you learn new material each week. Towards the end of the course, we usually have a party where you can meet other dancers from across Havana Nights and show off your dancing. Once you've completed Level 1, you can take your dancing further by joining Level 2.

Level 2

The modules for this course, give you confidence with basic turns, embellishments and dance technique and are for those who have completed Level 1. Level 2 has three modules and each module is an eigth week course. You’ll learn new material in each module. It doesn’t matter which sequence you complete the modules in, so long as you complete all the modules before moving up to Level 3. This means you’ll learn Salsa at the right pace.
For example, once you've completed Level 1, you can start with modules A, B or C in Level 2, so long as you complete all modules prior to moving up to Level 3.

Level 3

This level gives you confidence with a wide variety of combinations and related dance technique. Our level three modules are constantly updated, so you can complete as many modules as you want and always learn something new.

Level 3+

Level 3 is sufficient for most dancers as the material taught is challenging and varied. Our most advanced dancers attend in additon to the Level 3 moduels our special workshops with guest teachers at the Fiesta Havanas, Salsa Express Days, and special intensive courses.
